		<description>I don&#039;t really think that it is arrogant for an atheist to point out that we are generally &#039;good people&#039; because of course we can only mean that in a qualified sense. Nobody is 100% good. We each have our flaws and various shortcomings. A higher being could help us with this, but of course, no such higher being probably exists, so we are essentially on our own. 
 
I have often heard Christians say that to receive Jesus in my life I have to first believe that he will. This of course is psychologically self-fulfilling. If Jesus actually does come into my life (however that works), then I will believe. </description>
