Well, Christopher, I believe that you have decidedly missed the point of this post. The point is that this kind of advertising was designed to be purposefully non-confrontational.

"I am not an atheist. I believe in the sanctity and freedom of the individual spirit, which does not equate to the definition of an atheist."

Is that right? Do you believe in a God?

There will certainly be contrary opinions; mine however after having been a free thinker finding no avenue of logic to take me to any supreme being, for over 50 years, since the age of 13, raised in an Episcopalian family, know that confrontation in a Christian (or any denominational) state is non-productive to establishing tolerance to your philosophy. Either you are too young or inappropriately un-wise to know this. I am not an atheist. I believe in the sanctity and freedom of the individual spirit, which does not equate to the definition of an atheist. And I am sad to see that you have fallen into the trap of allowing yourself (or -selves)to so labeled, even by yourself (-selves).

You should know that the so-called religious basis of our world's societies, is much akin to superstitions such as we view the ancients Greeks and Romans. There is only one lenses that will allow the world's people to focus on the true logic of our existence, and that is time. And that time will come after you or I are long and gone. Religion is an intellectual wound which healing realistically requires us to be patiently and peacefully co-exist. If the world lives long enough, it may heal, the grace of which we shall not know.
