Not only are you not alone, but there are many of us out there and we all come from a diverse set of backgrounds. If not, then that’s okay, too. Maybe you are on the fence. Or maybe you simply cannot understand why anyone would be an atheist, agnostic, or unbeliever in the first place! In either case, I hope you decide to stick around.

My name is James Tracy. I am an atheist. I have created this website to allow anyone that can identify as an atheist (or an agnostic or an unbeliever) to share with the rest of the world his or her story of unbelief. How did you come to believe (or not believe) what you do now? What was that experience like? How did others react? Have you always been an atheist, agnostic, or unbeliever? Did you have a falling out with a particular religion or religious organization? If so, I hope that you will consider sharing your story with us.

What kind of stories am I interested in hearing? These can take many forms. You can give us your testimonial: how you became an atheist, agnostic, or unbeliever. Or, you can simply tell us why you personally disbelieve. You can share with us your real world experiences promoting, discussing, and/or debating atheism. Maybe you are on the fence and wish to describe the process you are going through doubting god or religion. The possibilities are multiple. You can contribute a single post or you can contribute many - updating us on your journey, your experiences, your activism, etc.

Instructions

Registering:

1. Go to the register page.
2. Choose a user name and enter your e-mail address.
3. An e-mail with your temporary password will be sent to the e-mail address you provided.

Posting:

1. Go to the login page. Sign in with your user name and password.
2. Type up your post under “Write”. You can save your work without submitting as often as you like, but you must submit it for review before I can publish it to the site.
3. When you are finished, push the Submit for Review button on the right.
4. Your post must be reviewed and accepted before going live on the site. If the content is not relevant or inappropriate it will not be posted. Simple as that!
